Understanding & Managing Anxiety

The Candy Floss Effect

I have developed 'The Candy Floss Effect Technique' over several years of supporting clients to manage and overcome their anxiety.  Clients tell me “I can’t do anything because of my anxiety”, “My anxiety won’t let me go on holiday”, My anxiety stops me from enjoying my children” and so on.  I felt that Anxiety was sat in the room with us and I didn’t like it!

Needless to say, as a committed and conscientious therapist, I would combine the different therapies I had in my gorgeous carpet bag of tricks and allow my creativity to run wild if it supported clients to gain the control over their lives that they had been so desperately searching for; sometimes for years.

Eventually, with a combination of talking therapies, CBT, guided imagery, neuroscience and good old-fashioned commitment I developed 'The Candy Floss Effect Technique'.  My clients return week after week and relay to me about how the resources and the sessions were making a difference day by day and that they were getting their lives and relationships back. 

Don’t get me wrong, there is no magic wand involved here, it is just therapeutic support and of course my amazing skills, passion and fabulous personality! However, many of my clients leave my therapy room to fulfil their true potential without their jailer called ‘anxiety’.  Of course, I can only provide the skills and resources to support my clients changes, they are the ones who show commitment to working with me, using my resource and making the changes happen for themselves.
